The first week of the Great Lent which invited orthodox Christians has ended to enter into a post not only corporal, but also in a post spiritual, to admit to itself good fortune of Sacred Spirit. It was read and sacred Andrey Kritskogo's canon, prays of a repentance: «The Gentlemen and Vladyka belly my...».  

     «Come, - sang Church in the church chanting, - we shall enter into a Great Lent, mother of chastity, clarification of sins, the preacher of a repentance, a life of angels and rescue of people».

     Last Week the sacred Church in detail found out also properties of a true Post, as valid means to deliverance of a sin, as the bases of a repentance, as the beginnings of return of the person to the God, she invited the spiritual children to a true repentance and feats of the Sacred Post.

     The second week of the Great Lent the Orthodox Church asks the Lord about fertile sanctification orthodox and repenting. Because good fortune God's and our sins clears (Mk.2, 1-12), also shines believer especially during a post, prays and other feats of piety, deduces us from sinful darkness in which we have fallen off in the first removal from the God, specifies to us sweet fruits of the present piety - on fertile light and connection good luck «the Pray and the Post is the marvellous weapon», - speaks Church.

    Some of the sacred church chanting executed in the second week of the Sacred Post at divine service, Church has accepted from Joseph and Feodor Studitov and Feofan of Nikea.

    So, the Christian, if you impose the Post to your body impose to its malicious ideas and your passions.

   Keep your mind, your memory, your will, your eyes - from malicious: «Evade from a harm and do kind» (Ps.33:15; I Pit.3:11).
